ZIM integrated shipping services announced the launching of a new monitoring, tracking and security services package, specifically designed for valuable and sensitive cargo stowed in reefer containers. The service allows customers to closely monitor their cargo’s status, change settings remotely and intervene to prevent damages.
ZIM’s system employs state-of-the-art technology and provides a tailored solution for customers shipping sensitive cargos. The system has been successfully tested in an international pilot with a global pharmaceutical company.
The online monitoring service is also suited for other types of valuable or sensitive cargo such as Medical lab equipment; Aviation products; perishable foodstuffs; Wines and other alcoholic beverages; agriculture (seeds); Electronics; art work and antiques; as well as hazardous or IMDG code goods.
