Yamal Rail Company to transport cargo for Rosneft

Rosneft will conclude a contract with Russian railway company JSC Yamal Rail Company. Under the agreement, Yamal Rail Company will provide services of transporting 5.3 million tonnes of cargoes by rail to JSC RN-Trans. The services will be provided from 1 January 2018 to 31 December 2020. The transaction amounts to RUB 2.469 billion (EUR 36 million).
JSC RN-Trans is a wholly owned subsidiary of Rosneft Oil Company. The company is Rosneft’s consignor and consignee at shipping points and the general forwarding agent responsible for the rail transportation of the company’s cargoes. JSC RN-Trans ships oil and petroleum products from 42 loading stations. The company’s cargoes are delivered to 1,100 stations in Russia and the CIS countries.
JSC Yamal Rail Company was established in 2003 by the government of Yamalo-Nenets autonomous area, Sverdlovsk Railways and OJSC Sevtyumentransput.
