TransContainer launched its new container train to link Saint-Petersburg-Tovarny-Vitebsky and Nakhodka-Vostochanya. On August 26 the first train with consumer goods left the company’s terminal at Saint-Petersburg-Tovarny-Vitebsky station (Oktyabrskaya Railway) for Nakhodka-Vostochanya (Far East Railway). The travel time is 9 days, the route is 9,700 km. The service is intended for multimodal (railway-water) transportation of cargoes to Magadan, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Korsakov. It also offers a discount for railway rates.
