The train ticket that comes with discounts at water parks, spa resorts, and zoos

For passengers of the Slovak operator ZSSK, the train journey no longer ends at the station. With a valid ticket, they can get discounts on accommodations, spa centers, water parks, museums, galleries, and other tourist attractions in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

Železničná spoločnosť Slovensko (ZSSK), Slovakia’s passenger rail operator, is promoting a benefits program this summer that allows train tickets to be used to obtain discounts at your destination.

The offers are valid at partner hotels, spa resorts, water parks, museums, galleries, and other tourist attractions. Terms vary by partner, and in some cases, advance reservations are required.

The program aims to link rail travel with tourist experiences in the regions visited, at a time when summer vacations often include more day trips and weekend getaways.

20% Discount at the Prague Zoo

One of the most attractive offers is for the Prague Zoo.

Passengers arriving by train in the Czech capital can enjoy a 20% discount off the regular admission price. This offer must be used no later than the seventh day following the first day of validity of the ZSSK train ticket.

The offer is intended especially for families and tourists who combine international travel with a visit to the city.

Discounts at AquaCity Poprad and the Brusno Resort

In Slovakia, passengers traveling to Poprad can receive a 15% discount on certain admission tickets and services offered by AquaCity Poprad.

The complex features thermal pools, wellness areas, and water attractions, with views of the Tatra Mountains.

Another offer is available at the Brusno spa resort, located in central Slovakia. Travelers who present a valid ZSSK ticket to Brusno can receive a 10% discount on their stay.

However, the discount must be requested at the time of booking.

Discounted Coffee Near the Chmarošský Viaduct

Tourists visiting the Horehronie region can also use their train ticket at the Deppo café in the town of Telgárt.

The café is located near the Chmarošský railway viaduct, one of Slovakia’s most famous railway landmarks.

Upon presenting certain valid ZSSK tickets, visitors can receive a 10% discount.

How to Redeem the Benefits

Passengers should first check the available offers in the area they are traveling to and the type of ticket accepted by the partner.

They should also verify whether an advance reservation is required. At the destination, the discount is granted upon presentation of the travel document, subject to the terms set by each partner.
