Skanska builds railway in Sundsvall

Skanska has signed an agreement with the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket) to construct a new railway passing station south of Sundsvall, Sweden. The contract is worth about SEK 320 million (EUR 34 million), which will be included in the Nordic order bookings for the first quarter of 2017.

The new passing station will increase railway capacity and relieve the heavily congested existing line. Preparatory work is expected to start in late May 2017 and the entire project is scheduled for completion in July 2022.
