Serbia, Chinese firms and RZD negociate for Belgrade-Nis overhaul

Serbian authorities are in talks with Russian railway infrastructure engineering company RZD International and Chinese companies for the overhaul of part of the railway connecting Belgrade to Nis, Serbian infrastructure minister Zorana Mihajlovic announced.
The negotiations concern a 100 km-long section of the railway line, for which the project documentation has already been prepared. The project is part of a plan for the overhaul of the Budapest-Belgrade-Skopje-Athens railway line with the support of China, agreed by the governments of Hungary, Serbia and Macedonia back in 2014
