The authorities of the Samara region have signed a memorandum of cooperation with the representatives of China Railway Corporation LLC to construct the Samara – Kurumoch – Tolyatti railway line. The railway will connect with the Kurumoch International Airport.
China Railways might also finance the construction of a high-speed track.
A railway connecting Samara and Tolyatti already exists. Within the framework of this project, this railway will be modernized and its vehicles will be revamped.
