RTA receives bids for Dubai Tram Phase II

dubai-tramvai_rta_5280Dubai’s Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) has received bids to design Phase II of the Dubai Tram.  The bidders include UK-based Arup/Spain-based Typsa; US-based CH2M HILL; Lebanon-based Dar al-Handasah; US-based Parsons Brinckerhoff /UK-based Atkins/France-based Egis; US-based AECOM/France-based Systra and Canada-based WSP Parsons Brinckerhoff/Spain-based Sener.

Phase I had opened in 2014. It was built by a team of France-based Alstom and the Belgium-based Bel Hasa Six Construct with consulting support from Systra. Phase II of the tram network will extend the existing route to the Mall of the Emirates, Madinat Jumeirah and Burj al Arab.
