Régie Autonome des Transports Parisiens (RATP), through its international subsidiary RATP Dev, became the sole shareholder of Casa-Tram company, which operates the 1st line of tramway in Casablanca, after Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion (CDG) withdrew from all its shares held in the Moroccan company.
The information was confirmed by Youssef Draiss, CEO of Casa Transport.
Created in 2012, Casa Tram is the company operating the tramway of Casablanca. So far, CDG held 40% equity and RATP développement held 60%.
Casa Transport outsourced since the begining of Casa tramway the full operation of its first line of tramway to the above mentioned group led by RATP Dev. The tramway network in Casablanca is now being extended to a second line, currently under construction and operational in 2018.
