Malaisyan firm wins Riyadh Metro deal

Riyadh Metro_GERBER-OLAYA-METRO_Interior-compresse_666Eversendai Corporation, a provider of specialist engineering and construction services, has won two new contracts in Saudi Arabia worth USD 66.5m.
The Malaysia-headquartered steel specialist, which earns around two-thirds of its revenues from the Middle East, has landed a USD 54.8m deal from the BACS consortium delivering lines 1 and 2 of the Riyadh Metro. The Bechtel-led consortium, which also includes CCC, Almabani General Contractors and Siemens, has awarded it a contract to carry out the steel works and cladding for its East, North and South depots. The second contract win for USD 11.6m is to design, supply, fabricate and install a conversion hangar in Riyadh used to service aircraft.
