Lumo launches new London–Stirling rail route

Open-access rail operator Lumo has announced that on May 25 it will launch service on the London–Stirling rail route via Preston on the West Coast Main Line.

The new connection will link London to northwest England and Scotland, via cities such as Preston and Stirling, strengthening the low-cost rail offering in the United Kingdom.

To mark the announcement, Lumo partnered with Stirling Pride and organized a promotional event in the city, offering “golden tickets” to London. The event was supported by drag artist Cherry West, a festival participant, and drew attention to the new London–Stirling rail connection.

According to Stuart Jones, the launch of the new route represents an important step toward expanding competitive rail service on the West Coast Main Line. The service will offer direct and fast travel between Scotland, northern England, and London, with a focus on low costs and accessibility.

Lumo is already partnering with several community events across the UK, including Glasgow Pride, Edinburgh Pride, and Pride in Gateshead, further cementing its position as a socially engaged rail operator.
