KiwirailAndCrccNew Zealand operator KiwiRail and CRRC signed a contract for the supply of 15 more DL locomotives to add to the existing fleet of 48.

Six of the locomotives will be needed on the Port of Tauranga to Westfield MetroPort corridor, with freight volumes set to grow as the size of the ships coming to Tauranga grows. The remainder will be deployed in the North Island.
