Kazakhstan, Tajikistan sign rail agreement

Tajikistan-tren_coal-transportHeads of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, Askar Mamin, and of Tajik Railways, Komil Mirzoali, held talks regarding the cooperation in the field of railway transport and logistics. They also considered issues of plying passenger trains of Tajik formations on the territory of Kazakhstan.
Following the negotiations, the heads of the two railway companies signed agreement on supply of a wide range of railway engineering production to Tajikistan in 2016.
Under the signed agreement, the parties continue to cooperate in the supply of locomotives, turnouts, repair kits and rolled wheels for freight and passenger cars. One of the points in the document – supply of P-65 rails production of Aktobe rail and structural steel plant to the Tajik railway.
