Italian state-owned group Ferrovie dello Stato plans to buy public transport operators ATAC and ATM, as part of a privatisation plan of Milan municipality. The affirmation has been made by Michele Mario Elia, the FS President, in front of the Senate’s Industry Commission. The acquisition of these public operators by FS could lead to integrated transport services and to increasing efficiency, added Mario Elia.
