EIB provides funds for railway line rehabilitation in Hungary

Hungary infraEuropean Investment Bank (EIB) will finance the rehabilitation of railway section Szajol-Püspökladány project in Hungary. This line is part of the main line No. 100 Budapest-Szolnok-Debrecen-Nyíregyháza-Záhony (transhipment facility at the Slovak/Ukrainian border). The project mainly concerns the rehabilitation of the existing double track (67.15 km) and the renewal of the catenary and of the signalling and telecommunications equipment.
The total cost of the project is HUF 125.3 billion (EUR 402 million) of which, EIB proposed finance is HUF 18.7 billion (EUR 60 million).
