Denver: B Line opens for passenger service

03-denverThe Regional Transportation District of Denver (RTD) opened for passenger service the B Line and Westminster Station. The B Line connects Westminster to downtown Denver in 11 minutes. The Westminster Station is the first segment of a proposed 41-mile commuter rail line that will eventually connect Broomfield, Louisville and Longmont.
The commuter rail service will run from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily with trains picking up every 30 minutes during peak hours (6-9 a.m. and 3-6 p.m.) and hourly all other times.
“It’s going to be a quick commute. Plus, it is going to open a lot of options for people in Westminster to travel throughout the metro area,” RTD public relations manager Tina Jaquez said.
RTD expects about 1,000 passengers per day to ride the B Line.
