Czech Railways and MÁV-START to cooperate for better cross-border services

02-cehiaCzech Railways and Hungarian rail operator MÁV-START, the passenger unit of MÁV, are currently drafting a cooperation agreement that will improve service between Budapest and Prague.
Under the agreement, MÁV-START will renovate carriages it bought from Spain in the mid-1990s, while Czech Railways will buy 50 modern carriages.
Czech Railways is also working to raise the level of service on the lines between Prague and Berlin-Hamburg and Prague and Vienna.
