Croatia: contract signed for Dugo Selo–Krizevci rail line

04-croatiaCroatian infrastructure manager HZ Infrastruktura has signed a contract with a consortium of local companies for the revamp of the Dugo Selo–Krizevci rail track. The consortium includes Dalekovod, DIV and Zagreb-Montaza. The contract has a value of 1.25 billion kuna (166.4 million euros).
The consortium has been hired for the reconstruction of the existing rail track, the construction of a second track on the Dugo Selo–Krizevci rail route, the construction of six bridges and modernisation of existing seven bridges, the construction of 11 overpasses, one underpass and six underground passage ways. The works also include an upgrade of the substations and signalling equipment.
The project is planned to begin mid-2016 and is slated for completion in the first half of 2020. EU funds should cover 85% of the project costs.
