Comboios de Portugal (CP) has announced the launch of its CP TrainUP 2025/2026 programme, aimed at recruiting 40 recent graduates to help shape the future of sustainable mobility in Portugal. The paid traineeship offers a 12-month placement across multiple locations in the country, starting in September 2025.

The initiative is designed to attract graduates with up to two years of experience who are ready to contribute to the transformation of the national rail sector. Under the slogan “Eleva o teu Futuro” (Raise Your Future), CP is calling for motivated and curious individuals with a strong interest in innovation and sustainable mobility.

The programme is open to candidates with qualifications in Management, Engineering, Information Technologies/Mathematics, Architecture, Marketing/Digital, or Law. Selected trainees will be placed in CP sites including Lisbon, Porto, Entroncamento, and Vila Real de Santo António.

Practical training and mentorship

Participants will receive both theoretical and hands-on training, including modules on innovation, cybersecurity, ethics, and sustainability. They will also be directly involved in strategic projects and mentored by experienced professionals.

At the end of the 12 months, successful trainees may be offered permanent roles within the company. In addition to a monthly traineeship allowance, CP will provide meal subsidies, accident insurance, and free or subsidised travel via CP voucher schemes.

Applications are open until 20 July 2025. The selection process includes a CV review followed by interviews throughout August.
