Bulgaria provides additional funds for railway projects

The Bulgarian government has approved additional funding totaling BGN 35 million (EUR 17.9 million) for the state-owned National Railway Infrastructure Company for the completion of projects financed under the Operational Programme Transport 2007-2013.
Part of the additional funding will be used to finance the completion of the modernisation project of the Plovdiv-Septemvri rail section. Among the other projects which will benefit from the additional financing, are the rehabilitation of the Plovdiv-Burgas railway line and the reconstruction of the Plovdiv-Svilengrad railway, in southern Bulgaria.
