Aurizon secures new contract

aurizonAurizon has secured a new five year contract with K&S Freighters, one of the Australia’s leading freight forwarders, worth approximately USD 20 – USD 25 million in revenue per annum.
The deal will see Aurizon transport approximately 20,000 Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units (TEUs) per annum across Australia.
K&S Freighters will become one of Aurizon’s largest intermodal customers and the contract will have multiple benefits for Aurizon, Aurizon Executive Vice President Customer & Strategy, Mauro Neves said.
K&S Freighters will be a foundation customer of the Port Botany rail shuttle service which will be operated by Aurizon. The shuttle service will commence at the end of August and will move imports daily from the Port to Enfield via rail, reducing truck congestion in the Port Botany precinct.
