Amsted Rail enters passenger market

Amsted Rail announced that it will bring company’s performance and solutions to the rail passenger market. At the APTA Expo, the company unveiled Amsted Rail Transit, its broad portfolio of transit rail products.
“This expansion into the passenger rail side of the business is a natural evolution for us. It leverages our long track record for reliability, innovation and leadership in heavy haul rail and lets us bring the same strengths to deliver leading-edge truck assemblies and end-of-car components for the transit sector,” John Wories, president of Amsted Rail said.
Amsted Rail Transit will introduce a full array of products for transit market, from complete Transit Truck Systems, to a service-proven General Steel Industries (GSI) product line, to end-of-car components rugged enough for demanding intercity cars.
“Not only can we offer public transit best-in-class products, all made here in the USA, but our cutting edge testing facilities ensure unmatched reliability. That adds up to peace of mind for our customers,” ” Stephen Becker, executive vice president – Transit said.
Amsted Rail provides components or integrated systems and builds wheels, axles and bearings to brake systems, bogies, bolsters and more.
